Running For A Good Cause
We are thrilled to announce our first-ever Fundraising Marathon that will take place on the 29th of July. Three incredible people decided to participate in a marathon and donate all the proceeds to Empower.
Our runners are graduates of Rain Forest International School and attended the Calvin University of Michigan. They are seeking to challenge themselves by running a marathon towards a great cause, which is helping other children to receive the education they themselves have received.
Running 42km takes approximately 4 and a half hours. To do this you need to keep running through pain and fatigue by persevering and enduring for a long time. Perseverance keeps you pushing through each kilometer.
In the same way, many of the children we sponsor have persevered through heartbreaking situations and adverse odds. That's why we are grateful that our runners decided to contribute to this great cause. The discipline and hard work they are applying for the future of Cameroonian children and for their own growth is exactly what Empower is all about.
Thank You for your support in each leg of our own marathon. For more information please reach out to us via email at empowercmr@gmail.com or through our social media accounts.
